The Day

Added: August 11, 2006
Over the years I have been extremely hesitant to put up any of my 9/11 stuff.
I was in Manhattan, I did have a press pass, I did spend the day running around the island with access to places that were off limits to many people. However, I didn't see or do anything that sensational, compared to the insanely sensational things that many other people witnessed, photographed, or got on videotape.
One thing I did get was a very good sense of what it is like to try and escape a huge modern city while it is being bombed and a good-sized section of it is on fire.
9/11 was not a lie. It really happened.
Controlled demolition? Nope. Government plot? Nope. Cruise missile attack? Nope. This is one situation where even the wildest conspiracy theory pales in comparison to what really happened: 19 committed terrorists hijacked a bunch of planes and succeeded with an incredibly sophisticated attack on New York and Washington D.C. which brought down two 1,000 foot skyscrapers and blew up a wing of the Pentagon.
The Pentagon.
No self-respecting movie producer would ever accept such an completely outrageous plot - not in a million years.
Sept. 11, 2001 was a day of truth, in all its horrific glory.
